2. Hosting & server logs
This website is operated with a hosting provider. Every access processes technically necessary data (IP address, date/time, page requested, browser type). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). Log data is deleted or anonymized after 30 days at the latest.
3. Waitlist & newsletter (double opt-in)
When you join the waitlist we process your email address and, optionally, first name, playing level and whether you are a parent. Legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We use double opt-in: after signing up you receive an email with a confirmation link; only after clicking is the signup active. We log signup and confirmation (timestamp, consent text version, truncated hashed IP address) to document consent. Withdrawal: every email contains an unsubscribe link; withdrawal applies across channels. After withdrawal we delete your data unless retention obligations apply (consent records: up to 3 years).
4. WhatsApp channel
We additionally offer a WhatsApp broadcast channel. Use is voluntary via your own WhatsApp account; WhatsApp's (Meta Platforms) privacy policy applies. We do not gain access to your phone number. You can leave or mute the channel in WhatsApp at any time.
5. Referral program
To manage waitlist positions we store your personal referral code and the number of confirmed referrals. No public ranking with real names takes place.
6. Analytics & cookies
We use our own privacy-friendly audience measurement (no third-party profiles). Additionally – only after your consent to the “Statistics” category – Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) may load with Consent Mode v2 and anonymized IP. Necessary storage (e.g. your consent status) is used under Section 25(2) TDDDG. You can change your consent anytime via “Cookie settings” in the footer; consents are logged.
7. Marketing services: Meta Pixel & TikTok Pixel
Only after your consent to the “Marketing” category do we load the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) and the TikTok Pixel (TikTok Technology Ltd. / TikTok Information Technologies UK Ltd.) to measure advertising campaigns. Events (e.g. page view, signup) are additionally transmitted server-side via the Meta Conversions API and TikTok Events API – with a hashed email address and only where marketing consent exists. On the juniors pages (/de/junioren, /en/juniors) no marketing pixels are loaded and no marketing events are sent. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; withdrawal anytime via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
8. Email service provider
For sending transactional email (confirmation mail, welcome sequence, waitlist updates) we use an email service provider as a processor. Only the data required for delivery is transferred.
9. Data transfer to the USAPlatzhalter
MatchGrit LLC is based in the USA; Meta, Google and TikTok also process data partly in the USA or third countries. Where personal data is transferred to the USA, this happens on the basis of your consent (Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR) or appropriate safeguards under Art. 46 GDPR (standard contractual clauses). [PLACEHOLDER – CHECK BEFORE GOING LIVE: EU-US Data Privacy Framework status for the specific processors]
10. Retention
We store waitlist data until launch and completion of the Founding Member offers, at the latest until withdrawal. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
11. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Consents can be withdrawn anytime with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
12. Minors
Waitlist signup is intended for people aged 16+. For juniors (10–17), signup is done by parents or legal guardians.
